The Buffermin® line of products are designed to have a vastly higher degree of bioavailability than traditional inorganic minerals such as sulfates or oxides. Buffermin® Glycinates are chelated mineral products that have a mineral salt organically bound to the amino acid, glycine.
Glycine is an important and conditionally essential amino acid for animals. Because of its small molecule size and low molecular weight, these glycine complexes can be passed through the digestive system of an animal without much interference. Buffermin® Glycinates are partially soluble and can be mixed with water, milk, or into dry formulations with other feed ingredients.
In the body, glycine is vital in different systems such as:
- Tissue repair
- Protein synthesis
- Immunity
- Metabolic processes
Currently there are seven Buffermin® Glycinate mineral formulations available: calcium, cobalt, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, and zinc.
