Title: Metal Amino Acid Chelate

Patent Number: 5,504,055
Inventor: Hsinhung J. Hsu

Abstract: A water soluble metal amino acid chelate is prepared by adding a metal salt to deaerated water, mixing the salt solution with a mixture of an amino acid and an organic acid and adjusting the pH of the resulting composition to a range of from about 4.5 to about 8.5 to produce a clear solution. The resultant clear solution can then be applied to plants or it can be dried for storage. The water soluble metal amino acid chelate produced by the process, when applied to plants, results in increased metals assimilation and improved plant growth.

Title: Method for Preparation of Metal Organic Acid Chelates

Patent Number: 6,670,494
Inventor: Sergejs Trusovs

Abstract: A method is disclosed where organic acid chelates can be made by reacting an organic acid ligand with a metal compound in a non-aqueous environment. The chelate is thereafter recovered by means of filtration or evaporation.

Title: Continuous Release Phosphorus Fertilizer

Patent Number: 5,865,870
Inventor: Hsinhung J. Hsu

Abstract: Concentrated phosphorus fertilizers are described which are absorbed quickly into plant systems and improve plant growth. Particularly described are fertilizers having a combination of phosphorus acid or its salts thereof, and either (a) polyphophoric acid and its salts thereof; or (b) phosphoric acid and its salts thereof. This combination phosphorus fertilizer, when combined within a specific ratio range, increases phosphorus uptake to plants thereby enhancing plant growth.

Title: Inorganic Phosphorus Fertilizer

Patent Number: 6,168,643
Inventor: Hsinhung John Hsu

Abstract: Concentrated phosphorus fertilizers are described which are absorbed quickly into plant systems and improve plant growth. Particularly described are fertilizers having a combination of phosphorus acid or its salts thereof, and either (a) polyphophoric acid and its salts thereof; or (b) phosphoric acid and its salts thereof. This combination phosphorus fertilizer, when combined within a specific ratio range, increases phosphorus uptake to plants thereby enhancing plant growth.

Title: Inorganic Phosphorus Fertilizer

Patent Number: 5,707,418
Inventor: Hsinhung John Hsu

Abstract: Concentrated phosphorus fertilizers of the phosphorus variety are described which are absorbed quickly into plant systems and improve plant growth. When diluted with water, there is formed a substantially fully soluble fertilizer having a foliage-acceptable pH.

Title: Metal Complexes Produced by Maillard Reaction Products

Patent Number: 6,992,203
Inventor: Sergejs Trusovs

Abstract: A method is disclosed for the formation of metal chelates which are able to remain stable in high alkaline environments when compared to metal chelates produced from a reaction with amino acids. The method involves the reaction of sugars, amino groups, and metal components for a sufficient period of time and temperature in a water solution. Additionally, the stability of metal chelates can be enhanced by oxidation of the sugars with an oxidizing agent such as hydrogen peroxide which form an MRP which will react with the metal component to form a more stable metal chelate than if oxidation were not utilized.

Title: Preparation of Fatty Acids in Solid Form

Patent Number: 8,203,013
Inventor: Hsinghung John Hsu, Sergejs Trusovs, Tatjana Popova

Abstract: A method for making a fatty acid mineral salt is disclosed where liquid oils containing fatty acids are hydrolyzed solution to maintain pH between 8.0 and 11.0 followed by a water-soluble metal salt solution which causes a metathesis reaction with the hydrolyzed solution, forming a precipitates of fatty acid metal salts which are glycerin-free. The precipitates are filtered, washed and subsequently dried. The produced fatty acid metal salt is easier for the human body to digest than omega-3 fatty acid in oil form and also is less prone to oxidation and emitting of unpleasant odor.

Title: Amino Acid Chelates to Reduce Still Births and Increase Birth Weight in Non-Human Animals

Patent Number: 6,197,815
Inventor: Hsinghung John Hsu

Abstract: Metal amino acid chelates for animals are beneficial for facilitating and promoting growth by increasing desired metallic ion uptake. The present invention is directed to a process for providing an animal fed additive by preparing metal amino acid chelates, and the metal amino acid chelate growth facilitator, promoter and enhancer prepared by the process.

Title: Natural Pesticide

Patent Number: 6,231,865
Inventor: Hsinghung John Hsu, Jian Zhou, Chun-Hua Lily Chang

Abstract: The invention describes a synergistic effect when garlic oil or extract is combined with essential oils which results in an improved insecticide/fungicide which is natural and contains no chemical additives. Essential oils are defined in this application to be volatile liquids obtained from plants and seeds including cotton seed oil, soybean oil, cinnamon oil, corn oil, cedar oil, castor oil, clove oil, geranium oil, lemongrass oil, linseed oil, mint oil, sesame oil, thyme oil, rosemary oil, anise oil, basil oil, camphor oil, citronella oil, eucalyptus oil, fennel oil, ginger oil, grapefruit oil, lemon oil, mandarin oil, orange oil, pine needle oil, pepper oil, rose oil, tangerine oil, tea tree oil, tee seed oil, mineral oil and fish oil.

Title: Microcrystalline Cellulose

Patent Number: 6,392,034
Inventor: Sergejs Trusovs

Abstract: This invention describes a method of MCC production by means of the following process: first, treating a cellulose source material with an alkaline solution which induces swelling of the cellulose source material; second, addition of hydrogen peroxide and/or other peroxides to reduce viscosity; and third, separation of MCC from the suspension. The alkaline MCC obtained must thereafter be treated with an acid solution to become pH neutral. The MCC is separated and is then ready for drying, and subsequent use in commercial applications.

Title: Organic Herbicide

Patent Number: 8,188,004
Inventor: Hsinghung John Hsu, Sergejs Trusovs, Franz R. Fernandez

Abstract: An organic herbicide is disclosed and comprises oxidized natural oils such as clove oil, and cinnamon oil. A natural surfactant is disclosed comprising 30-50% by weight casein, 50-70% by weight whole egg powder and 0-5% by weight Konjac glucomannan.
