Animal Nutrition Sales Representative
Job Duties:
- Generate and grow sales through enhanced customer relationships to increase market share.
- Introduce and present products through meetings, seminars, on-farm discussions, and other industry opportunities to key decision-makers.
- Dig and understand potential customers’ needs and fulfill them with products and services.
- Maintain a positive supplier-customer relationship and follow up on products, services, trials, and improvements.
- Work with business development and marketing to develop and customize sales strategies.
- Assist with related marketing and customer service activities.
Minimum Requirements:
This position requires experience in the feed industry and knowledge of animal nutrition and/or animal science. The Sales Representative will communicate with premix and feed companies, feed mills, feedlots, and producers to sell feed additives and supplements. Ideal candidates should be proactive, persuasive, and enthusiastic.
- B.S. degree in animal nutrition or animal science.
- Preferably with a minimum 3-year experience in the feed industry.
- Ability to present and communicate complex technical knowledge.
- Proven experience in sales is highly desirable.
- A valid driver’s license and good driving record are necessary.

Technical Support Agronomist
Seeking a qualified person to fill a non-supervisory, technical support position in our growing plant products team.
Job Duties:
- Conducting field, lab, and greenhouse research studies
- Preparing draft technical reports, summaries, and presentation materials
- Interacting with local growers, greenhouse operators, and cooperators to perform experiments
- Travel with and provide technical support to sales team on a regular basis
Applicant should be dependable, inquisitive, self-motivated, detail oriented, be able to follow directions and work independently. Frequent travel is required.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least five years of field experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an agricultural related field such as agronomy, plant science, soil science, crop production or related field.
- Must be knowledgeable in vegetable, fruit, nut, and grape crops plus have experience working in a farm environment.
- This position requires traveling. Frequently travel is outside the local area and overnight.

Sales Representative – Idaho
This full-time position is responsible for the sale of the organization’s products in a specified region or major geographical area and provides ongoing support to the product distribution channel. Incumbent works directly with distributors to sell agricultural chemicals, fertilizers, and biological products. Plan and implement sales and marketing plans for the assigned territory.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for sales of fertilizers in Idaho
- Knowledge of products features, benefits, and use
- Search for new distributors in Idaho
- Look for opportunities to expand the JHB line of products
- Maintain and build a customer contact list
- Organize sales campaign in Idaho
- Communicate the initiatives, objects, strategies, and action plans with management
- Establish and meet sales goals
Minimum Requirements:
- At least five years of field sales experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an agricultural-related field such as agronomy, soil science, crop production, ag business, or horticulture.
- Must be knowledgeable in vegetable, cotton, corn, rice, grain sorghum, wheat, hay, fruit trees, etc. plus have experience working in a farm environment.

Sales Representative – East Coast Region
This position is responsible for the sale of the organization’s products in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Pennsylvania, and provides ongoing support to product distribution channel. Incumbent works directly with distributors to sell agricultural chemicals, fertilizers, and biological products. Plan and implement sales and marketing plans for the assigned territory.
Job Duties:
- Assists resellers with organizational skills, account strategies, territory planning and administrative responsibilities to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.
- Develops and increases sales revenue to meet assigned targets.
- Becomes actively involved in a new resellers sales orientation and sales training programs.
- Assists resellers with contract negotiations, closing the sale and developing marketing plans for contract accounts.
- Assists with the planning of sales exhibits.
- Attends trade shows.
- Participates in education and training conferences on selling and marketing programs.
- Keeps informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to customers.
- Checks on competitive activity and develops new methods of attaining resellers and assisting resellers in attaining new accounts.
- Troubleshoots problems regarding products provided.
- Answers questions from resellers and handles complaints.
- Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
