Position: Agricultural Sales Representative – East/South Region
Location: Georgia/South Carolina
Overview
JH Biotech, Inc. is seeking a qualified individual to join our team to develop the market in Georgia/South Carolina and the east coast.
Established in 1987, JH Biotech is dedicated to providing farmers with organic, biological, and microbial fertilizers, pesticides, and animal nutrition additives. We believe our high-quality products and science-based solutions can help farmers and growers increase yields and income while maintaining quality soil, crops, and livestock.
This position is responsible for sales in Georgia or/and South Carolina and provide ongoing support to product distribution channels. Sales Rep will work directly with distributors to sell agricultural chemicals, fertilizers, and biological products as well as plan and implement sales and marketing activities for the assigned territory.
Essential Functions
- Prospect new customers and opportunities in the industry.
- Establish, maintain, and strengthen connections with distributors and end-users.
- Increase revenue by generating new customers and selling additional products to existing customers.
- Provide superior customer service.
- Organize field trials, seminars, and other relevant activities.
- Cultivate a deep understanding of product portfolio and benefits.
- Provide feedback from the field pertaining to industry trends and customer interests.
- Develop and present relevant information at sales meetings.
- Submit accurate and timely reports.
- Attend and participate in industry events (trade shows, field days, etc.)
- Must be willing to travel. Occasional overnight stays required.
Education and Experience
- At least three years of field sales experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or ag-related discipline preferred. Equivalent field sales experience acceptable.
- Extensive knowledge of popular crops, fruit, nuts, and vegetables in the assigned territory. Experience working in a farm environment is a plus.
- Competency in Microsoft Suite.
- Able to work well independently, as well as with sales, marketing, and science team.
- This position requires up to 70% travel outside the local area and occasional overnight stays.
Position pays commissions in addition to salary.
Territory: Georgia/South Carolina and nearby states. Prefer candidates living in Georgia/South Carolina.
